These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the SMSgateway.lk platform and services (“the Service”). By creating an account or sending messages through the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

SMSgateway.lk provides a prepaid bulk SMS platform for sending transactional and promotional SMS to Sri Lankan mobile networks, including branded sender IDs, campaign tools, contact management and a developer API.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate business and contact information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account, including API keys and staff users you create. Keep your credentials secure.
  • We may suspend accounts that present a risk to the platform, to operators, or to recipients.

3. Acceptable use

  • You may only message recipients who have consented to receive your messages, and you must honour opt-out requests promptly.
  • Spam, scams, phishing, misleading sender names, and content that is unlawful in Sri Lanka are strictly prohibited.
  • Sender IDs must truthfully represent your business or brand; supporting documents (e.g. business registration, NOC) may be required.
  • You must comply with all applicable laws and mobile-operator rules, including rules on promotional-message timing and content.

4. Prepaid billing

  • The Service is prepaid: messages are charged per SMS page from your wallet balance at the rates shown in your account.
  • Monthly package fees (where applicable) are invoiced automatically; free credit included in a package is applied to your wallet.
  • If a message fails to dispatch, the charge for it is automatically refunded to your wallet.
  • All fees are stated in Sri Lankan Rupees and are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

5. Delivery

Delivery of SMS ultimately depends on mobile operators and recipient handsets. We route messages promptly and report the statuses operators give us, but we cannot guarantee delivery, timing, or display on any particular device.

6. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate the Service for breach of these Terms, unlawful use, operator or regulator direction, or non-payment. You may close your account at any time; the Refund Policy governs any remaining balance.

7. Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the content of messages you send.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the dashboard or by email; continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
